Golfing
Make your tee time
Nothing compares to that first swing off the tee as the sun slowly rises over the eastern horizon, your driver head flicking beads of dew off the grass as your ball cuts rapidly through the humid morning air before returning to earth. Golf has been a tradition in Pontiac for more than 100 years, beginning with the opening of our public course in 1921 and continuing to the foundation of our fantastic disc golf course in the heart of the city. However you prefer to play — clubs or discs — whether you choose to relax or challenge yourself, Pontiac delivers for golfers of all skill levels.
The Oaks at River's Edge
Opening as the nine-hole Pontiac Golf and Country Club in 1921, the 18-hole, par-72 course at The Oaks at River’s Edge is billed as one of the top courses in the region with more than 6,800 yards from the longest tees. Open to members and non-members alike, the course also features an onsite pro shop as well as driving ranges to fine tune your swing before hitting the links.
Riverview Disc Golf Course
Spanning two beautiful city parks and carrying disc golfers across the Vermilion River by way of the iconic Swinging Bridges, Riverview Disc Golf Course offers a championship-level course ranging from 5,516-5,791 feet, depending on the configuration.
