Livingston County War Museum

Honoring our veterans

Tour the conflicts of the 20th century and the sacrifices made by those who served. The Livingston County War Museum features a wide selection of artifacts, films, books, uniforms, and weapons of several wars fought by the U.S. Armed Forces, including World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, the Global War on Terrorism in Afghanistan, and the Iraq War.

The Livingston County War Museum is staffed by military veterans and history enthusiasts who are eager to share their firsthand experiences with visitors. The museum is not meant to glorify war, but to highlight the finest attributes of the men and women who volunteered — some of whom paid the ultimate price. All American veterans and service members are honored at the museum.

“Walking through the Livingston County War Museum, it only took a couple of minutes to understand what is represented here — the sacrifice, the patriotism, the old boys talking and laughing and telling war stories in the other rooms, and the realization that freedom ain’t free. I got alone for most of it because I was crying reading real stories of life and death, understanding this country was and is birthed in blood, and I really, really need to appreciate it more than I already do.” —H.B.A.
