Join us for the 17th Annual Red Carpet Corridor Festival on Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th as we celebrate 100 miles of Route 66 through Illinois! This exciting event spans 14 communities, each hosting their own unique activities and attractions.
In Pontiac, we have an action-packed lineup of events to enjoy. Our celebration includes the popular Swinging Bridges Art Festival, organized by the Pontiac Community Art Center. During this festival, two blocks of Madison Street will be blocked off, featuring local vendors showcasing and creating art, live music performances, and so much more.
Take the opportunity to explore more of Pontiac by visiting one of our four museums, all of which will be open for tours during the festival.
Stay tuned for an updated schedule of events for this years' festival! In the meantime, visit the Pontiac Art Center's website here.

Unique Travel Experience in the Corridor
Pontiac is a proud partner in the Red Carpet Corridor. The corridor is a 100-mile linear museum that runs along historic Route 66 from Joliet to Bloomington, Illinois. Each of the 14 communities along this stretch of the Mother Road offers the heritage traveler a unique Route 66 travel experience.
Each year the towns which make up the Red Carpet Corridor join together on the first Saturday of May celebrating the history of Route 66. For the Red Carpet Corridor Festival, eachtown puts together its own events and visitors are encouraged to take in all the sites and fun during the day.
