[ARCHIVED] Threshermen Gear Up for 69th Annual Reunion

2011 Threshermens 043

The Central States Threshermen will soon be holding their 69th annual gathering of early steam and gasoline powered farm tractors and implements.  Threshermen's Park, just north of the City of Pontiac on Illinois Route 23, will be a hive of activity from August 31 through September 4th.  Daily attractions include a 1910 blacksmith's workshop, a huge craft show and flea market, threshing, sawing, bailing, rock crushing, sheep shearing, and other demonstrations, and of course, a variety of home-cooked food.  Live entertainment highlights the evening hours at the park.  And, don't forget the annual Threshermen's Parade in downtown Pontiac on Sunday, September 3rd.  The parade begins about 1:15 PM, and to get the best viewing spots you might want to stake your claim early.  For more information, visit the Threshermen's webpage using the link below.
