Over the course of his professional life, he has built up a solid foundation of works, many that are known for absorbing, refining and integrating traditional Chinese culture. Deep within his work are the core tenets of ancient Chinese philosophy: harmony between man and nature, peace among all peoples. At the same time, his work has a unique modernist aesthetic, reflecting modern society. Nearly 20 of Jiang’s paintings will be on display at the Art School, some of them available for purchase. In addition, the artist is expected to work on new projects while he is in Pontiac.

In the process of creation, Jiang mixes the traditional techniques Chinese aesthetic expression with modern painting materials. That combination makes possible new explorations in the aspects of the hue and form of the picture, and to inject new connotation, content and life into the national traditional artistic symbols. His works have been shown in national, provincial and municipal exhibitions and the artist has held several solo exhibitions.

The public is invited to view Xudong Jaing’s work at the Dongbai International Airbrush Art School.
