The September 2016 Show at the Pontiac Community Art Center opens on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in the Joe Bailey Gallery and runs through Friday September 30, 2016. This exhibit is entitled ‘Jane Diaz - The Artist That Knows Where to Draw the Line’.
The show features the work of local artist Jane Kalkwarf Diaz. Jane taught school at several areas schools, including St. Mary's, PTHS and Odell schools. It will feature work done in watercolor, acrylics, pastels, pen & ink and markers. Jane will be displaying artwork from her entire career, including recent and older work from past years. She likes to experiment with different media, and even combines medias on occasion. Most of her work is realistic, and she has done numerous commissions for customers, many of which are in this show.
This exhibit will be on display at the Art Center during regular hours.
The Art Center is located at 103 West Madison St. across from the historic Courthouse in downtown Pontiac. Hours are 10am to 5pm Monday through Friday, 10am to 4pm Saturday and 9:30am to 4pm on Sunday. The public is welcome.
