They were exciting years, those years of the big band, when, for less than a dollar you could spend an entire evening watching and listening to the songs of your favorite orchestras and singers. Audiences thrilled to the big band sound of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey and others, singing about love, emotions, and patriotism. We are proud to present Music of the Forties, a program of the life and times of that exciting and meaningful decade. Ron Selle and Darlene Agner will take you, through song and story, on a sentimental journey, back to those marvelous days of the 1940s.
