Saturday, October 15, 2022
Vermillion Players and the Livingston County Historical Society are proud to announce Reflections on the Riverbank, their annual cemetery walk. The walk will take place at Southside Cemetery and feature 9 past Pontiac residents who helped shape our community including:
John Balmer (1829-1914)
Fred "Fritz" Bolander (1874-1947)
Joseph Culver (1834-1899)
Samuel Chapman Ladd (1820-1878)
Henry Scatterday (1843-1928)
C.W. and Mary Sterry (1826-1901 and 1836-1917)
Irma Hill Vogel (1887-1966)
Catharine Yost (1893-1970)
Each of these people will be portrayed by a local actor. Volunteers will guide groups through the cemetery from person to person. This is a rain or shine event; if you are unable to attend at the time you purchased, please contact us to discuss changing your ticket or for a refund. Due to limited group sizes, last minute changes may not be available. Be aware that you will be outdoors and on your feet most of the event. Attendees will walk from grave to grave though chairs will be available at each stop. It will last approximately 2 hours.
Performances will take place Saturday, October 15 at 10:00am and Sunday, October 16 at 2:00pm. Each time slot will have up to 8 groups of up to 20 people each. When you arrive at the cemetery, check in will be in front of the mausoleum. You will be directed to the starting point for your group. All groups will finish the walk at the same time, but if you want to go through with a friend, ensure you purchase tickets for the same group.
